Sonny's science teacher in Big Creek high school. She was a student teacher and a coordinator for a science fair. She influnced Sonny to continue to build his rockets.
Emily Sue
Bestfriend of Dorothy, who was a best friend for life that Sonny could confine in. She helped him pick out suit for Homecoming.
Jake Mosby-An engineer from the company in Ohio. He was a major playboy, but helped with the boys fullfilling their dreams. He helped the BCMA pay off their debts.
Dorothy-The girl that Sonny was inlove with. Usually on Sundays, Sonny would hitchike a ride up to war to have a study session with her. She later went out with Jim, Sonny's brother.
Ike Bykovski-Was a mechanist at the mine. When Homer fount out he was making parts for Sonny's rockets he was sent to the mine as punishment. He later died in a mine explosion. He inspired Sonny as well.
